Description of service

Would you like to spend a period of time in Spain learning or improving your level of Spanish? We are mainly looking for girls (but boys are not excluded even if they are less requested), preferably university students between the ages of 18 and 27, who are polite and respectful.
The only thing you will have to do is to carefully read the information on this page and fill in the form provided. We will try to place you with a family in the briefest time possible. But in order to do that we will also need to receive as much information about you as possible. In this way you will become part of our database to which we refer when a family requests our service in order to find an au-pair. We will recommend them the candidates who best match the profile outlined by the family. For this it is very important to accurately fill in our form in order to participate in the selection process. As soon as a family is interested in your profile we will contact you in order to verify your current availability and obtain more information about you.

Apart from the form, if you already have experience as an au-pair in Spain or other countries, you will have to provide us with a written reference from the families you have been with including their address and a contact phone number. If you have had any other work experience we would be happy to receive your cv/ résumé with as many details as possible. We would also need to have one or more pictures in which it is possible to see the face and the entire body well.
You must also provide two written personal references from a teacher or a boss; it is better if the references pertain to childcare. In this last case we will also accept letters written by families for which you have occasionally babysat for.

General Rules

There are some common sense rules that you have to take into consideration at the time to be taken in by a family. You must do your best in order to appear to be a pleasant and cheerful individual: the families look for a responsible, self-motivated, and flexible person whom they can trust and feel comfortable with. At first will have to make an effort and show that you are willing to adjust to the new situation by respecting the customs and the lifestyle of the family. The family will do their best in order to make you feel at home. Show them your gratitude and try to do things without being asked. Remember that your attitude is fundamental in making the family happy with you, creating harmony between everybody so that no problems or misunderstandings arise.
The family will be responsible for your full room and board and a small weekly spending allowance for your personal expenses.

Room and Board

Regarding accommodation, the family will put at your disposal a single room. Board includes all meals in the same quantity and quality the family consumes. The pocket money you will receive weekly will be around 50-60 euros (depending on what the family offers) in exchange for around 30 hours of work per week.
